Red Sun is rising into Kent Saturday

It's never too late to escape the rain and enjoy a rockin' night out in downtown Kent. Here's what this weekend has in store:

Red Sun Rising

Red Sun Rising, from the Rubber City of Akron, will make their debut at the Kent Stage, 175. E. Main St., 8 p.m. Saturday.

Their captivating song writing and hard-hitting live show is sure to have you singing at the top of your lungs and dancing all night.

Love and Theft

AMC-nominated country duo Love and Theft, made up of Stephen Liles and Eric Gunderson, will bring their organic sound to the Dusty Armadillo, 3147 Sate Route 44, in Rootstown Saturday.

This RCA Nashville group prides themselves on writing, recording and performing honest, soulful country music. Eric's earthy voice and Stephen's high tenor combined with the song-along choruses will leave you begging for more. If you haven't seen these two live or heard their album, you're in for a real country treat.

Free music Friday

Everyone is invited to see Hard 2 Handle perform Friday at the Water Street Tavern located at 132 S. Water St. Every Friday night from 7 p.m. to 10 is Kent's best free, live music.
