BOYS BASKETBALL

WATERLOO 66, RITTMAN 63

The Vikings rallied from a 12-point deficit heading into the final quarter to capture a non-league victory at Rittman on Tuesday.

Tom Saviers finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead Waterloo (3-15), which fell behind 23-13 after one period before storming back in the final eight minutes. Collin Michalec also scored 17 points, hitting a pair of 3-pointers, while Bobby Watson added 15 points and 3s as the Vikings buried eight long-range bombs on the night.

NORTON 56, CHIPPEWA 55

Tyler Sherman scored 17 points to help host Norton (14-3) edge Chippewa in a non-league contest.

Sherman drained four of the Panthers' nine 3-pointers on the night, while teammate Jeff Schulte finished with nine points on three 3s.

Bailey Breitenstine scored a game-high 21 points for Chippewa.

SPRINGFIELD 61, ROOTSTOWN 46

Victor Dorsey poured in 24 points as the host Spartans pulled away from the Rovers to earn a PTC cross-division victory.

Springfield led 10-4 after the first quarter, pushed the advantage to 10 by halftime, then blew it open with an 18-11 third-quarter run.

Evan Ferrell led Rootstown with 14 points, followed by Colin England with 12.

MOGADORE 69, COVENTRY 54

The host Wildcats raced to a 40-22 halftime lead and coasted to a PTC cross-division triumph.

Hunter Van Camp scored a game-high 19 points to pace Mogadore, while Brandon Morris followed with 18 points and Jake Cramer added 11. Morris also grabbed 11 rebounds as the Wildcats (14-2) outboarded the Comets (9-9) 33-22.

Jimmy Holmgren led Coventry with 13 points.

LAKE CENTER CHRISTIAN 51, EAST CANTON 37

The host Hornets fell behind 14-3 after one quarter and could not catch up, suffering a non-league loss to Lake Center Christian.

Hayden Miller led the way for East Canton with 17 points.
