Ironically, last season the Wildcats (12-0) and Redskins (12-0) met for a regional title at Finnie Stadium. In that game, Mogadore rallied from a 17-point deficit to defeat Cuyahoga Heights and advance to the state semifinals.

The Wildcats have defeated Lowellville (45-6) and Tiffin Calvert (42-7) in the postseason this year, while the Redskins have upended Lutheran East (40-18) and Gibsonburg (20-8).

One high school regional championship game will be played in Portage County this weekend. Ravenna will host a Division II contest Friday at 7:30 p.m. between Chardon (8-4) and Green (9-3).

In other area playoff action, the Rubber Bowl in Akron will host a Division I game on Saturday between Warren Harding (11-1) and St. Ignatius (8-4) at 7 p.m.
