The Southeast Cooperative Nursery School recently held its 12th annual Easter Bunny Breakfast at the Edinburg United Church. The preschool experienced one of its largest turn-outs and enjoyed seeing so much of the community and former students and families return for the event.

The Kent Free Library will host a free all-ages concert with Moustache Yourself! at 2 p.m. April 23. Moustache Yourself! is known as Akron's premier Gypsy Jazz Quartet.
A bus trip to The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum will be held June 30 through July 1. The cost is $215 per person, based on double occupancy. The bus leaves from Randolph at 7 a.m. June 30.
A roast pork buffet will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. April 22 at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, United Church of Christ. The menu includes roast pork, dressing, potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut, vegetables, salads, rolls, desserts and beverage.

Bradley Joseph Goughnour is the newborn son of Ashley M. Peet and Robert J. Goughnour of Brady Lake. He arrived April 2 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. Older brother Camren Peet is 8. Barb and James Peet of Bedford are the maternal grandparents.
Wayland Community Church is sponsoring a rigatoni dinner to benefit Sally Roberts from 4 to 7 p.m. April 22 at the Shearer Community Center, 9355 Newton Falls Road, Paris. The menu includes rigatoni with a choice of sauce, salad, bread, dessert and beverage.
Susan Agema of Randolph announces the birth of her son, Easton James Putra. He was born April 4 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, weighing 5 pounds, 13 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Susan and Allen Agema of Randolph.
Brian and Katelynn Knapp of Atwater announce the arrival of their son, Asher Keith Knapp. He arrived April 4 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna and weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Older brother Aidan is 7 and older sister Annistyn is 1.
Kevin Pierce and Jesse Brunk of Rootstown announce the birth of their son, Bryce William Pierce, on March 27 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. He arrived weighing 9 pounds, 4 ounces.
The Woodlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ravenna recently hosted its annual Easter Egg Extravaganza with about 75 family and community members in attendance.

Landis Bates of Mantua presented research at the Student Scholarship Showcase at Muskingum University in New Concord. Presentations covered topics from various departments, including chemistry, nursing, political science, business, and psychology.
Dreamsolvers Non-Profit Paint Night Fundraiser, a non-alcohol fun and food alternative, will be held at 6 p.m. April 22 at 101 E. Highland Ave., at North Chestnut Street, in Ravenna. The cost is $25 per person and food and beverages will provided.
Courtney Pope and Kevin Stier of Windham announce the birth of their son, Kash Alan Stier. He was born March 31 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, weighing 5 pounds, 15 ounces. Connor Stier, 2, is the baby's big brother.
Portage Leaning Centers will hold its fourth annual 5K/1 Mile Fun Run/1 Mile Walk Race on June 10. Pre-registration is available until June 9, however T-shirts will only be guaranteed for those who pre-register by May 19. This year's event has changed venues.
Palmyra United Methodist Church, 3968 S.R. 225, will hold a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 21. Included with the turkey are mashed potatoes, green beans, side dishes, rolls, dessert and beverage. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Carry-out is available.
The Dubois Children's Reading Room at the Kent Free Library will be transformed into a life-sized version of the popular board game Candyland from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 22. Families with children of all ages can drop in to pick up a game card and play at their own pace.
The Portage Trailwalkers will hike at 9 a.m. April 22 at the Bike 'n' Hike Trail (Brust Park). To reach the start of the hike, travel S.R. 59 west out of Kent to Stow. Turn left (south) on S.R. 91 in Stow.
USA Dance's "Baseball & Ballroom" Dance Party will be held April 23 at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. The dance encourages favorite baseball team spirit and will feature Salsa lessons and general dancing. The evening will feature Salsa basics at 5 p.m.

Adam and April (Hill) Loudin of Austintown welcomed their first child, Tucker Bradley Loudin. Tucker arrived on March 22 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Brian and Diane Hill of Boardman.
The Ravenna Township School Alumni Banquet will be held May 6 at Brown Middle School at South Scranton Street and West Main Street in Ravenna. Social time begins at 5:45 p.m. and dinner will be catered by Siciliano's at 6 p.m.
