Donations to Horizon House appreciated

Published:

This goes out to all of the kind, giving hearts in our community who made the Christmas holiday special for the residents at Horizon House. Our residents were delighted and amazed at the assortment of sweet treats, hats, gloves, snuggies, toiletries, and numerous "fun" gifts waiting for them under the tree Christmas morning. Donations were received from Kent State nursing students, Reverend Hurd and the ladies at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, and our local Women in Recovery.

Special thanks go out to the Legal Department. and supporters at Portage County Family Services. We were honored to be the recipient of their "Giving Tree" this year. Their kind donation of sorely needed items included: Frying pans, pillows, linens, towels and gift cards for additional needs. Gift cards to area stores are appreciated at any time of the year due to the varying requirements of the residents.

Horizon House is a program of Townhall II in Ravenna serving women seeking help with drug and alcohol addiction. There will always be needs, and never enough ways to say thank you.

Townhall II, Kent
