Wallace Michael Coney, 53, of Ravenna, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was born September 14, 1959 in Ravenna to Wallace R. and Alma L. (Sanders) Coney.

He was a member of United Church of Jesus Christ in Ravenna. He was a construction worker for Hummel Construction.

Survivors include his mother, Alma L. Coney, daughters, Lorrel Churn, Lauren Coney, Olivia Payne, sons, Wallace Cameron Coney, Johnathan Davis, Orlondo Ransom, sister, Annette Coney, brother, Brian Joyner, grandchildren, Camille and Chase Churn.

Calling hours will be held from 11 till time of the service which will be a 12:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Portage Community Chapel, 6490 St. Rt. 14, Ravenna. Elder James Sanders will be officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna following the service. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.

Mike you were a very honest character and a good guy. We had alot of fun playing in the football league at Crestwood years back.

I remember I let you borrow my Reebok Pumps. RIP friend

I worked with Mike at Spancrete in Aurora, and found him to be a great person to work with and we had allot of fun a few times that we hung out, even though its been some time sinse I seen Mike I was moved by his passing, and feel for his family, and truly know that he will be missed and will pray for his family,

To Alma & Cousin Annette and Michael's children, Michael was truly a kind,loving and gentle person. We are ripe and sadden by the news of his passing. God do not make mistates. He will be missed at the Coney-Richards family reunions in the South,of softball game wasn't a softball game until Michael join in, he made the sport fun and funny. His smile would like a beam of happy light, almost as bright as the sunshine. Our prayers are with you, deepest Condolences and Love from the Coney,Richards & Tillman Family of Ohio,Chicago,New York City,Texas,Mississippi,California,Louisiana & Washington D.C. make God continues to keep you all in his care.
