Daniel E. Cofer, of Ravenna, Ohio, entered into rest on November 15, 2012 in Robinson Memorial Hospital. Daniel was born on December 11, 1937, in Champion, Ohio, the son of Edward and Daisy Smith Cofer. He was a 1956 graduate of James A. Garfield High School.
After serving his country in the United States Army, Daniel was honorably discharged from active duty in December of 1963. He had been employed in manufacturing by Lampson and Sessions.
Daniel was united in marriage to Carolyn Barker on June 16, 1965 in the Church of God in Windham, Ohio. The couple were blessed with their four sons.
Cherished memories of Daniel will be carried on by his loving family, his wife, Carolyn, his sons, Jeffrey and his fiance, Jennifer Gibson, Stephen and his partner, Gloria Hefner, Phillip and Patty; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Cofer and Victoria Cofer; his sisters, Marilyn Feller and Linda Cole and his brother, Donald Cofer.
Preceding Daniel were his parents, his son, Timothy and his brother, Jim.
A military service will be held to honor Daniel on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Following the service, the family will receive friends at the family residence from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
