Born May 3, 1913 in Sunderland, England, he was the son of George and Mary E. Davis Jobling.
Mr. Jobling came to the United States in 1964 and since retired from Ohio Edison. He also worked for the England Imperial Chemical Industries as a caustic tester and had worked as a driller in the shipyards.
He was an active member of the dart teams in England and a member of the Ohio Edison Men's Club.
Survivors include his sons, George (Ruth) of Canada and Michael of England; daughters, Mrs. Chuck (Mary) Palmer of Brimfield and Mrs. Gaylord (Margaret) Hanson of Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Edna) of Canada and Harry (May) of England; and sister, Mary E. McLean of England. His wife, Ann (Watson) died in 1982. His brothers, Ted and George, also died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Private graveside services will be held in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
