Nick Pak

Born Sept. 10, 1925 in Pennsylvania, he was the son of Nick and Theresea (Pushkosh) Pak Sr. A Nelson resident for four years, he previously lived in Mantua for 35 years.

Mr. Pak was a lift operator for Akzo International Salt Co. on Whiskey Island.

He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Alma (Mofat), whom he married May 22, 1948; sons, Shawn of Hiram, Nicholas of Medina and Scott of Nelson; daughter, Sharon Lee Marks of Mantua; and nine grandchildren. His sisters, Helen Shankin, Margaret O'Neil and Julia Semon, all died previously.

Calling hours will be held from 6 p.m. until services at 8 p.m. Thursday at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home in Garrettsville. The Rev. Dwaine Stanley will officiate. Private graveside services and burial will be held Friday at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua.
