Born Feb. 16, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, Manning was the son of Raymond Manning and Alberta Bacon. He had been a Ravenna resident for 30 years.
Manning had been a tow motor operator before he retired from Gougler Machine in Kent.
He was a veteran of World War II, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1055 and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna.
Survivors include his daughter, Maria Delores Holt of Cleveland; son, Ricardo Leo Manning of Cleveland; sister, Estella Massey of Wickliffe; brothers, Raymond Manning, John Manning and Francis Manning, all of California; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Father Robert Sabatino officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
