Born July 27, 1921 in Ivanovo, Yugoslavia, he was the son of Istvan and Julia (Mravaof) Geber. Formerly of Cleveland, he lived in the Newbury area for 25 years.
Mr. Geber retired in 1986 from Cajon Company in Solon, where he had worked for 13 years as a machinist. In the 1970s and 1980s, he and his wife Anna (Becak) operated the first fresh produce market at the former Aurora Farms, S.R. 43, in Aurora.
He was a member of St. Margarets Catholic Church in Cleveland.
In addition to his wife, survivors include sons, George (Slavica) of Chicago, Ill., and Istvan III (Agata) and Andy (Elizabeth), both of Mantua; brother, Matyi of Sweden; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A sister died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greens Funeral Home in Mantua, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Munn Cemetery in Newbury Township.
