Stanley Kurkey

Born June 21, 1936, in Fayette County, Pa., he was the son of Stanley

and Anna (Koslick) Kurkey. He had been a Rootstown resident since 1969 and

was formerly of Brunswick.

Mr. Kurkey was a self-employed truck driver and a partner in Kurkey Auto

Wrecking.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann (Cetera), to whom he was married

for 39 years; sons, David, Donald and Daniel, all of Rootstown; daughter,

DeniceTaylor of Copley; seven grandchildren; brothers, John and Donald;

and sister, Beverly Claybourne of Diamond. A sister, Jean Graham, died previously.

Visitation will be held from noon until services at 1 p.m. Sunday at

Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. The Rev. Carl Holm will officiate.

Cremation has taken place. Private burial will be held.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Portage County

Unit of the American Heart Association.
