John Levicky

He had been a Solon resident for 50 years.

Mr. Levicky was a machinist and internal grinder at Weldon Tool from 1945 to 1982. He worked for Milbar Corporation in Chagrin Falls from 1987 to 1990.

He was a crew chief of the 310th Airdrome of Flying Tigers during World War II.

Survivors include his son, John A. (Pat); three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Julie Bridge. His wife, Dorothy, whom he married in 1947, died previously. His son, Daniel, and brother, Peter, also died previously.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Kindrich-McHugh Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road in Solon. Services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rita Church, 32820 Baldwin Road in Solon. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
