Born Aug. 20, 1923 in Warren, he was the son of Sam and Angeline (Cornicello)
Marcello. He was a 1941 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and had
attended Younstown State University.
Mr. Marcello retired in 1983 from LTV Corp. in Warren as a turn foreman
after 25 years of service.
He attended St. James Church in Warren.
He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Frances "Fran" (Ludwick), whom he
married June 29, 1948; sons, Donald J. of Rootstown, Thomas E. of Akron
and Richard D. of Long Beach, Calif.; daughters, Sister Mary Lenette Marcello
of Chardon, Fran Byers of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Joanne Killen of Warren;
four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His brothers, Joseph, John,
Jack and Michael, and sisters, Esther Perozzi, Rita Basile and Sister
Mary Jo Anna, died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Peter Rossi and
Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road, N.E., Warren, where a service will
beheld at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by funeral services at 10 a.m.
at St. James Church in Warren. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in
Cortland.
