Randolph Township Board of Trustees
Term of the seat: Four years
Salary of trustee: About $10,000
Betty Siegferth
Occupation: Retired postmaster, U.S. Postal Services
Previous elected office: None
Question: What can you offer the township as a trustee?
Answer: My extensive management training with the U.S. Postal Service has given me the ability to listen and work with others in situations that are sometimes complex.
Being retired, I can devote all the time necessary to serve the people of Randolph as their trustee.
My retirement package includes health benefits, and I would elect not to take the benefit package offered by the township, resulting in a savings for the township of about $18,000 per year.
Name: Michael Lang
Occupation: Owner, Lang's Automotive and volunteer Randolph fire chief
Previous elected office: Trustee for three terms.
Question: What can you offer the township as a trustee?
Answer: I offer lots of experience in our town. I've worked with the township land use committee, and I've watched this town grow from 2,000 people to 6,000 people.
I've had the privilege of meeting and working with lots of people through my life-long residency in the township, from owning my own business and through my work at the fire department.
I can contribute to the community in a lot of different aspects, and I'm available 24 hours a day.
