Forty classmates and guests recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of graduation from Southeast High School.
After a bus trip bus from Edinburg to Pittsburgh, Pa., they boarded a Gateway Clipper riverboat for a dinner cruise on the Ohio, Allegheny and Monongahela rivers.
After a dinner buffet, the Skyliners performed "oldies" songs for listening and dancing.
The next day classmates and guests toured the "new" Southeast high school in the early afternoon.
Later in the day, they gathered at the town hall in Deerfield for a pot-luck dinner.
Some of the 54 attendees traveled from Alaska, Connecticut, West Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Washington, D.C.
A memorial display honored the 25 deceased members of the class of 1959.
One of the highlights of the day was the Rev. Mickey Hill singing "How Great Thou Art" accompanied by Elaine (Johnson) Burkey on the piano.
A new reunion committee was enlisted to plan the 55-year reunion in 2014.
