a Bell Cole (Hughes), 86 died October 18, 2009 peacefully in Los Alamos, New Mexico where she had lived since 1953. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held November 14, 2009 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Lora Bell has born June 28, 1923 in Edinburg, Ohio to Nelson & Ceclia Hughes. She was a graduate of Edinburg High School, Hiram College and Northwestern Medical School. Lora Belle worked at the Los Alamos Atomic Research Center Laboratory In Los Alamos, New Mexico. In retirement she enjoyed traveling abroad to many foreign countries & voluntering at the local library. She was a member of Hiram Alumni Assoc., Portage County Historical Society and Los Alamos Methodist Church. She is survived by Son & Daughter in law Tom & kay Cole of Los Cruces, New Mexico and grandchildren Christine & Mark Cole. Brother & Sister in law Warner & Jane Hughes of Suffield. Niece & nephews and many friends in Ohio and New Mexico. Mrs. Cole is preceded in death by her husband George Cole, and her parents Nelson & Ceclia Hughes. (RC 11-1-09)
