s Helen Marie (nee Williams) Jarvis, age 88, beloved wife of Hollie and mother of Belva, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 28, 1921, in Neeses, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Eugene and Emma (nee Chavis) Williams. Helen lived most of her life in Ravenna, Ohio. She married Hollie Jarvis in August of 1941, and was a very sweet, kind, and gentle lady who always displayed kindness to others. Helen enjoyed traveling, gardening, and needlework. She retired from the Evenflo Corporation after nearly 30 years of service. Survivors include her husband Hollie Jarvis and daughter Belva Centrich both of Ravenna, sister Colleen OToole of Jacksonville, FL, and grandsons Gary Hoffman of Brimfield and Jeff (Joy) Centrich of Painesville. She was preceded in death by her brother Grady Williams and sisters Dorothy Perry and Ruby Bradway. Friends will be received Wednesday, November 4, 2009, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at the Wood-Kortright- Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. A very special thank you to the Ravenna City Police and Fire Departments, and the staff of Robinson Memorial Hospital.
