Associated Press LOS ANGELES -- Authorities say reality television star Stephanie Pratt has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Los Angeles police say the 23-year-old Pratt was arrested early Sunday outside a party in Hollywood. Pratt is featured on the MTV show "The Hills" along with her brother, Spencer Pratt. She was booked at Van Nuys jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and was released a few hours later after posting $5,000 bail. "The Hills" chronicles the personal lives of a number of young people living in Los Angeles. Lasseter earns producer prize LOS ANGELES -- Animation pioneer and "Toy Story" creator John Lasseter is getting a career honor from the Producers Guild of America. Lasseter is receiving the David O. Selznick Achievement Award at the guild's awards show Jan. 24. He's the first producer of animated films to receive the award. Past recipients include Clint Eastwood, Jerry Bruckheimer, Stanley Kramer and Billy Wilder. The Producers Guild says Lasseter's work with Pixar Animation and parent company Disney has raised the bar for animated and live-action filmmakers alike. Lasseter directed 1995's "Toy Story," the first feature-length computer-animated movie, and "Toy Story 2," along with "A Bug's Life" and "Cars." He oversees animation at both Pixar and Disney. Lil Wayne at DNA hearing NEW YORK -- Lil Wayne is appearing in a Manhattan courtroom, but DNA science is taking center stage. A hearing on a DNA profiling technique used in the rapper's 2007 gun-possession case started Wednesday. It concerns a process used for identifying people from tiny amounts of DNA -- including some that prosecutors say ties the Grammy Award-winner to a gun found on his tour bus after a concert. The 27-year-old has pleaded not guilty. He faces at least 3 1/2 years in prison if convicted. The hearing aims to establish whether what's known as low copy number DNA profiling has general scientific acceptance. Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Carter, won last year's best rap solo performance Grammy for "A Milli." His albums include "Tha Carter," "Tha Carter II" and "Tha Carter III." Spears settles photog lawsuit LOS ANGELES -- Court records show Britney Spears and a photographer whose foot she ran over have settled a lawsuit. Ricardo Mendoza sued the pop singer in May, accusing her of assault, battery and negligently driving her car when she ran over his foot in Beverly Hills in October 2007. Court records filed in Los Angeles show a settlement notice was filed on Monday. The records do not disclose the terms of the agreement. TMZ, who employed Mendoza at the time, auctioned his tire-stained sock and donated the proceeds to charity. The incident happened during a turbulent period for Spears, who hours earlier had lost custody of her two sons. She now has the No. 1 song on Billboard's charts with her single "3" and has since regained visitation rights. Man charged for Lohan theft LOS ANGELES -- Prosecutors in Los Angeles have charged a man with burglarizing the homes of Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge. Nicholas Prugo faces two charges of residential burglary and will be arraigned Nov. 11. He is accused of stealing $170,000 in designer jewelry and clothes from Lohan and Patridge, who appears on MTV's "The Hills." Both actress' homes were broken into earlier this year. The 18-year-old was arrested in September and remains free on bail. Prosecutors say more than $43,000 in clothes and jewelry were taken from Patridge's home. Lohan's losses were estimated at $128,000. Lohan's film credits include "Mean Girls" and "The Parent Trap." She remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving conviction. Andrews wows other actresses LOS ANGELES -- Even stars get star-struck. It happened Monday to Zoe Saldana, Katie Holmes and Renee Zellweger at Elle magazine's Women in Hollywood tribute, where they were honored alongside legendary actress Julie Andrews. Saldana burst into song -- "A Spoonful of Sugar" -- at the thought of meeting the "Mary Poppins" star. Zellweger said she'd "certainly be star-struck" when she met the actress. "I just don't want to fall or say dumb things," Zellweger said, "so I'll keep my fingers crossed." Holmes let out an "oh my God" and said she couldn't wait to meet Andrews. "She is amazing," Holmes said. "We have 'Mary Poppins' and 'Sound Of Music' playing a lot in our house right now." Longtime friend Carol Burnett shared a different side of the venerable star during a private dinner at the Four Seasons hotel. "Not only is my chum such a great actress, such a great singer, such a beautiful person and all," Burnett said of Andrews, "she is also very bawdy." The comedian told a story of how Lady Bird Johnson once caught her and Andrews kissing. Andrews had planned to play a trick on director Mike Nichols when the former first lady spotted them. "Aren't you Carol Burnett?" Burnett recalled her asking. "I said 'Yes, and this here's Mary Poppins.' " "Absolutely true story," Andrews said. "She brings out the worst in me."
