Dinner and Doctrine resumes

Conversation continues at the first of the 2009-10 season of the Portage County Deanery’s Dinner and Doctrine, held on Oct. 1. From left are Loretta Sjostrom, Beth Frank, the Rev. John Michael Lavelle, Pat Gram and Janice Lewandowski. Lavelle’s topic was “Can’t We All Just Get Along? United in Faithful Service.” Tickets for the Nov. 10 presentation by Sister Mary Ann Wiesemann-Mills, OP, are on sale in any Portage County Catholic Church for $25. Wiesemann-Mills, recent prioress at Our Lady of the Elms in Akron and instructor at St. Mary’s seminary in Cleveland, will speak on “Morality:  It’s Not Just What You Do — It’s Who You Are.”
