URG Gary West, 73, passed away June 25, 2009. Born in Rittman, Ohio, Gary grew up in Wadsworth and lived in the Ravenna area most of his adult life. He was employed with Bender Louden Motor Freight as a long distance trucker for twenty one years before retiring in 1991. Gary was a member of the Edinburg United Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his parents, Donner and Helen West; he is survived by his wife, JoAnne Z.; sons, Randy of Randolph and Greg (Lisa) of Mogadore; step-daughter, Samantha Zeigler; grandchildren, Josh, Christian, Charity and Hope; brothers, Ronnie (Nancy), Jack and Terry all of Wadsworth; and sister, Sharon Snider of Akron. Funeral services Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver MOGADORE Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave., with Rev. Steven D. Mortach officiating. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth. Friends may call Monday, from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Edinburg United Church of Christ, 4081 Rock Spring Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266-8733.
