SHALERSVILLE "A 25-year-old Ravenna man was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday night.
Adam P. Prominski was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 10:46 p.m. on S.R. 303 just east of Diagonal Road, the Ravenna Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
According to the patrol, Prominski was the sole occupant of a 2004 Chevy Cavalier that sustained heavy damage to the entire vehicle.
The patrol said Prominski was driving eastbound on S.R. 303 when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a culvert and went airborne. The vehicle then rolled, the patrol said, and came to a rest against a tree.
Prominski was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said, and alcohol use as well as excessive speed are believed to have been factors in the crash.
