A 23-year-old Crescent Lane man was arrested May 17 and charged with domestic violence, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, after he allegedly threatened to stab and beat up a male family member who would not let him have a cigarette, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
A 20-year-old Lawrence Court man was arrested May 17 and charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, after he allegedly stole two Minute Maid fruit punch drinks, worth 99 cents each, from the Gulf gas station, 706 S. Water St., according to Kent police.
A 45-year-old Youngstown man was arrested May 17 in the 12000 block of S.R. 282 and charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, after he allegedly was caught in possession of less than 5 grams of cocaine, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
A 27-year-old Ravenna woman was arrested May 17 on a warrant charging her with one count each of trafficking in drugs and possession of criminal tools, both fifth-degree felonies, after she allegedly was caught May 13 on S.R. 59 at Brady Lake Road in possession of two bags of suspected marijuana and a digital scale inside her purse. Another three small baggies were found behind her seat, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
