Portage County grand jury issues indictments

The following people were recently indicted by a Portage County Grand Jury.

Amber J. Bittner, 31, of 3022 S.R. 59, Ravenna Township. One count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

Jay E. Brannon, 43, of 1460 Whittlesey Ave., Atwater. One count each of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; possession of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

Jason W. Coontz, 38, of 428 Industry Road, Atwater. Two counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of forgery, all fifth-degree felonies.

Jared A. Jones, 22, of 1805 Dooridge Drive, Twinsburg. One count each of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony; trafficking in LSD, a fourth-degree felony; and possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, all with forfeiture specifications.

Christopher C. Petrey, 26, of 160 Carmia Road, Munroe Falls. One count each of trafficking in marijuana and interference with the operation of a train, both fourth-degree felonies; aggravated possession of drugs and possession of marijuana, both fifth-degree felonies; possession of drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct by intoxication, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

Anthony R. Riley, 29, of 440 Jefferson St., Ravenna. One count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony.

Jordan P. Singleton, 30, of 9150 Asbury Road, Freedom. One count each of aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs and illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, all third-degree felonies, and possession of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Curtis W. Smith, 37, of Beloit. Two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies.
