Ravenna Mayor Frank Seman will be holding a non-perishable food drive to benefit the Neil Mann Hunger Challenge between Ravenna and Kent's Hal DuBois' Hunger Challenge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tractor Supply parking lot located at 1149 E. Main St. in Ravenna. This is the annual competition between Seman and Kent Mayor Jerry Fiala.
Fiala will host a non-perishable food drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 29 at Kent Social Services, 1066 S. Water St. in Kent.
Items that are most needed include peanut butter, jelly, boxed potatoes, rice, cereal, tuna, macaroni and cheese, canned vegetables, canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, pasta noodles of all kinds and personal hygiene items.
The Ravenna School District will be holding a food drive from April 17 through 28.
