KSU police investigating arson fires in Prentice Hall

By Dave O'Brien | staff writer Published:

According to a campus safety bulletin sent out Tuesday, KSU police are investigating the burning of four pieces of paper hanging on bulletin boards in Prentice Hall, a campus residence hall, in the last 10 days.

"Each burning occurred separately over the last 10 days and resulted in the partial destruction of the papers. No other damage was sustained as a result of these events," the message read.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call KSU police at 330-672-3070 or make an anonymous report online via ThreatLine at www.kent.edu/threatline.

A Feb. 8 fire in Koonce Hall, one of the high-rise Tri Towers residence halls, destroyed a hand sanitizer dispenser and damaged a wall. It was labeled suspicious and also is under investigation.
