Staff from Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's Office will conduct Sunshine Law Training in Akron on Thursday.
Elected officials and interested citizens from Northeast Ohio are encouraged to attend this free training, which is open to the public.
The training session is provided in order to enhance the knowledge of public offices regarding making public records accessible as required by the Ohio Revised Code.
The training session will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the Akron-Summit County Public Library, 60 S. High St., Akron.
Registration for the session can be completed through the attorney general's website at www.OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov/SunshineLawTraining.
The Ohio Sunshine Laws (for public meetings & records) are available online at the State Auditor's and Attorney General's websites. The third week in every March is National Sunshine Week!
