Work on Pufferbelly in Kent will lead to lane closure on Franklin Avenue

Record-Courier Staff Report Published:

To allow for roof repairs on the Pufferbelly Restaurant located at 152 Franklin Ave., Kent the city has approved temporary lane restrictions and parking spot closures.

Work will be ongoing during the day today with a rain date of Wednesday as needed.

Work will begin at 7:30 a.m. and last about half the day. The contractor is permitted to close the southbound lane of Franklin Avenue in front of the Pufferbelly when needed to complete the work.

When the contractor's work requires closing the southbound lane in front of the Pufferbelly, no parking will be permitted on the east side of Franklin Avenue to provide for two-way traffic. The approved lane restrictions and parking closures are only permitted when the contractor is actually completing work and at all other times the lane restrictions and parking closures will not be permitted.
