The city of Ravenna is now offering online access to personalized individual income tax returns.
This is not electronic filing. Taxpayers will receive postcards in the mail allowing them to retrieve their form and any payment and credit information with the use of a personal URL.
The completed forms can then be printed, signed and mailed to the city's income tax office.
Forms cannot be filed online. Residents will still be required to print the forms and mail them in.
Taxpayers may still request a form via mail. Blank forms can be downloaded from Ravenna's website.
Taxpayers still will receive annual postcards reminding them to file. However, there is an option available allowing residents to be notified by email instead of by postcard.
Pre-printed forms also are available at the tax office in city hall and at Reed Memorial Library.
The city's income tax office still offers assistance in preparing returns. The office is open between 8 and noon and 12:30 and 4:30 weekdays to answer questions.
Completed tax returns need to be sent in by the April 15 deadline.
