Portage County Commissioner Tommie Jo Marsilio has been appointed to a one-year term on the board of directors of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio.
The CCAO represents the 86 Ohio boards of county commissioners and the Cuyahoga and Summit County executives and councils. There are 35 members on the board of directors.
Marsilio said she is looking forward to representing Portage County on the CCAO and working to foster cooperation at all levels of government.
Marsilio, who has a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and a law degree from Capital University Law School, was elected as a Portage County commissioner in 2010 and currently serves as vice president of the board.
