Clara Zygadlo marks her 106th birthday

A celebration honoring the 106th birthday of Clara Zygadlo of Ravenna was held April 19 at Embassy Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, hosted by her great-great-niece, Rochelle Lynch-Stankavich.

Among the 100 friends, family and Longmeadow staff members in attendance were her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews and great-great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-great-nephews.

Special greetings were received from her niece, Yolanda Anderson, her nephew, Alfonse Pantalone, and her niece, Pauline Bertino.

Musical entertainment for the event was provided by Miles Boozer's Happy Hour.

Clara Zygadlo was born April 19, 1911, to Luigi and Maria DeLibero of Latrobe, Pa.

A resident of Portage County for 16 years, Mrs. Zygadlo attended high school in Latrobe and worked as a waitress.

She married Theodore Zygadlo on April 15, 1950, and was widowed upon his death on March 14, 1994.

She enjoys bingo, music, crafts and games such as Tic-Tac-Toe, Jenga and Connect Four.
