St. Pet's Day Walk set Saturday in Kent

Published:

The Celtic Club's ninth annual St. Pet's Day is in memory of late WNIR radio host Tom Erickson, a strong pet advocate. The honorary chairperson is Ravenna resident Dave Nethken. The St. Pet's Day Pet Walk will begin at noon Saturday at the Hometown Bank Plaza in downtown Kent. The Celtic Club is inviting pet lovers and their pets to dress in their finest Irish attire for a walk through the downtown Kent area, which will be followed by live Irish music in the Plaza. People attending the Pet Walk are asked to bring donations of dry dog/cat food and cat litter for humane/animal rescue groups.
