Atwater Historical Society hears from EMT

Published:

Atwater Fire Department emergency medical technician Paula Baughman was the guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Atwater Historical Society. She gave a presentation on her duties as an EMT, giving tips on how to prepare for a medic after a 911 call and the questions medics would ask when they arrive at the home. She told the group what to expect in the ambulance ride to the hospital and about her other duties, responding to fire and rescue emergencies, auto accidents, drownings and most 911 calls. Chatting after the meeting are, from left, Society Trustee Alexandria Custer, Baughman, and Atwater Fire Chief Mel Russell.
