The Mantua American Legion and Auxiliary will hold a joint Christmas party at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Mantua Village Park Lodge. Members are asked to bring an item for the 4C's and a dish to pass. Meat and beverage will be furnished.

Sally Hoffman, Girls State representative, will tell of her week at Girls State camp. Peggy Painley will have her "Just Jewelry" available for Christmas shoppers, with 30 percent of the sales given back to the Auxiliary.

The Legion Auxiliary met recently to fill its annual donations to such funds as State Auxiliary programs, Four Chaplains, Children and Youth, Ohio Community Improvement Fund, Education, U.S.O., Military Family Assistance, Nurses Scholarship, V.A. Hospitals and other veterans projects. The donations totaled $701.
