Kids can 'Read to a Dog' in Streetsboro

The Pierce-Streetsboro Branch of the Portage County District Library will present its "Read to A Dog" program at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Parker, a licensed therapy golden retriever, will be available to hear children practice their reading. Children may choose library books to read to Parker, or they may bring their own books.

Registration for this program is not required.

The library, located at 8990 Kirby Lane (next to the Streetsboro City Schools Administration Building) is open Monday and Tuesday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 330-626-4458 or visit www.portagelibrary.org.
