Annual banquet honors Portage County 4-H advisers

The Portage County 4-H Program recently held its annual volunteer recognition banquet at the Ravenna Elks Club. More than 60 volunteers and guests attended the buffet dinner and program recognizing first-year through 55-year 4-H advisers. The event was sponsored by the Portage County Farm Bureau. In attendance at the event are, from left, Dave Dawson, 38-year 4-H adviser; Jeni Buckingham, 4-H Extension educator/county director; and Stephen Heppe, Farm Bureau representative.
