The Women's Social Club of Kent will host a "Christmas Party with a Purpose" at 8 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Ravenna Elks, 776 N. Freedom St. The event will feature disc jockey Harry Dukes and will offer food, a 50/50 raffle, and a cash bar. Gearing up for the event are standing, from left, Cynthia Jones, Vicki Broaddus, Flora Peoples and Robin Patton. Seated is Jacquie Peoples Dukes. The cost for the event is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Women's Social Club Annual Scholarship Fund.
