Kristen Paulus and Dustin Wachter were joined in marriage by Capt. Bruce Hudek aboard the Goodtime III in Cleveland on May 26.
Music was provided by Surgical Sound. The wedding colors were pink and white.
The bride's parents are Jim and Lori Paulus of Ravenna. The groom is the son of Mark and Carol Wachter of Newark.
The bride was escorted by her father. She chose a strapless organza A-line gown with a corset closure and notched neckline. The bodice featured heavy ruching accented at the natural waist while the A-line skirt featured tiers of gathered ruffles. She carried pink and white calla lilies.
Carly Paulus of Ravenna served as her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Harker of Mount Airy, Md.; Lynae Gieseman of Louisville; Shannon Letendre of Scottsdale, Ariz., cousin of the bride; Mandy Mendoza of Alexandria, Va.; Shelby Sitko of Kent; and Casey Paulus of Ravenna, sister of the bride.
John Neu of Columbus served as best man. Groomsmen were Jared Lesch of Columbus; Bryan Dailey, Josh Devoll and Ryan Dunlap, all of Newark; Rick Ingold of Arcanum; and Bryan Hendershot of Wilmington, N.C.
A wedding reception was held aboard the Goodtime III.
Special guests included Phyllis Paulus of Stow, grandmother of the bride; Bob and Luana Ziska of Kent, grandparents of the bride; JoAnn Bond of Newark, grandmother of the groom; the Marchand family of Pacific Grove, Calif., aunt, uncle and cousins of the bride; Mark and Judy Letendre of Scottsdale, Ariz., uncle and aunt of the bride; Sam and Carol Borden of Huntsville, Ala., uncle and aunt of the bride; and Jillian Wachter of Atlanta, Ga., cousin of the groom.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Ravenna High School and a 2011 graduate of Kent State University. She is employed with Tween Brands in New Albany.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Newark High School and a 2009 graduate of Youngstown State University. He is employed with Park National Bank in Newark.
The newlyweds took a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and now reside in Columbus.
