The Portage County District Library is partnering with Connect Ohio, a nonprofit, public-private partnership, in an effort to extend affordable high-speed Internet service to every Ohio household and to offer free computer training sessions to Portage County residents. The training sessions offered will provide basic Internet training such as computer basics, an introduction to the Internet, and email basics.
Sessions have been scheduled for the Windham Branch of the Portage County District Library on Dec. 4, 6, 11 and 13 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. To register, call 330-326-3145.
A free self-paced curriculum is available online at http://eco.connectohio.org. Registration is required in order to create an account. Once the courses have been completed, certificates will be mailed out.
