The Rootstown Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to welcome Santa on Saturday at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, United Church of Christ, 4022 S.R. 44.
The annual tree lighting ceremony will start off the event at 5:30 p.m. in the front yard, with the RootsÂtown High School Choir singing until 6 p.m. Santa will arrive by firetruck at 6 p.m. Santa will then visit with the children from 6 to 7:30 p.m. inside the church hall. Cookies, hot cocoa and popcorn will be provided for this free family event.
