Hiram Observatory Open Night Saturday

Published:

Stephens Memorial Observatory of Hiram College will host a public observing night from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday seeking out gems of the Milky Way, such as the Perseus Double Cluster and the Pleiades. Those attending also hope to get a look at Jupiter near the end of this event -- waiting for the giant planet to clear neighboring trees -- through the Cooley Telescope.

The observatory is located on Wakefield Road (S.R. 82) less than a quarter of a mile west of S.R. 700 in Hiram. Good sky conditions are critical to viewing; for updates and more information, see the website, Stephens Observatory.org, or check out @StephensObs on Twitter.
