Local historian Wayne Enders will bring his James A. Garfield road show to the Windham Historical Society at 7 p.m. Monday at the Brick Chapel, 9001 N. Main St., in Windham. Garfield became a student at Hiram College, later led Windham boys into battle in the Civil War, and then was elected to Congress and the U.S. Presidency. Enders will portray Garfield at several stages of his life, including several costume changes to indicate the passage of time, leading up to his tragic assassination in 1881. The presentation is free and open to the public.
