Beth Slater is focus of magazine article

Beth Slater of Rootstown Township was featured on the cover and in an article of the March/April issue of Country Woman magazine. She and her husband, Gary, raise alpacas and she spins the fiber and crochets the yarn into hats, scarves, vests and blankets to sell at area craft shows.

The Slaters raise Suri alpacas and show them at alpaca shows. Their 4-year-old daughter, Jessica, helps care for the furry animals, too.

Country Woman magazine is published bimonthly and features interesting rural women from all over the United States.
