First-grader donates to Locks of Love

Kaylee Sue Neubig, a first-grader at Shalersville Elementary School, recently had her hair cut at Best Cuts in Kent.

Kaylee, who will turn 7 on Sunday, had nine inches of her two-foot long hair cut and donated to Locks of Love.

Karen Crowe, Kaylees teacher, asked why she had wanted to cut her hair.

I wanted to give it to little boys and girls who have cancer so they could have hair, Kaylee said.

Kaylees proud family includes mom, Kimberly Neubig, brother, Kyle Neubig, and grandparents, Roger and Sue Marks.
