Robert L. Towles Jr. of Windham is one of many Sailors and Marines stationed at the Naval Air Maintenance Training Unit in Lemoore, Calif. NAMTRAUs mission is to provide technical and military training on the maintenance of the Navys aircraft.
Navy Airman Towles, the 31-year-old son of Robert and Kathy Towles of Windham, is an aviation mechanic who works on the flight-essential equipment of the F/A-18s.
Towles is a 1989 graduate of Windham High School.
