The Village of Windham has issued a boil alert for water service through 3 p.m. Friday.
Windham Police Chief Gene Fixler said a water line broke during construction work Thursday and as a precaution, the village water department is suggesting customers boil their water before using it.
Further alerts will be sent out if the situation changes, he said.
