Kent State to host fracking panel talk

The School of Communication Studies at Kent State University will host a panel forum on hydraulic fracturing natural gas development at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the KIVA Auditorium at 1065 Risman Plaza Drive.

The event, "Fracking: Promise or Peril" is the first annual Global Communication Issues Forum, and will feature Dimiter Kenarov, a Pulitzer Center journalist

The panel discussion, moderated by assistant journalism and mass communication professor Mitch McKenney, will feature Kenarov, as well as Akron Beacon Journal environmental reporter Bob Downing, KSU emeritus professor of geology and hydrogeology Donald Palmer and KSU professor of geology and hydrogeology Yoram Eckstein.
