Portage County property tax bills are in the mail

Portage County property tax bills are in the mail and should be arriving soon, according to county treasurer Vicki Kline.

Kline said statements totaling $96.9 million have been mailed out. Payment is due by Feb. 25. Late payments are subject to a penalty. The total includes $94,969,233 due on real property and $1,962,982 due on mobile homes.

Payments may be mailed, or paid in person at the treasurer's office on the ground floor of the Portage County Administration Building, 449 S. Meridian St., Ravenna.
