Kent's Theodore Roosevelt High School hosts the "Hoops with Heroes" basketball event Saturday in the high school gymnasium.
Last year's event featured a face-off between Kent's Police and Fire departments, and this year the event has grown to include Ravenna's Police and Fire departments as well.
The games begin at 5 p.m., with Kent Police and Kent Fire going head to head. Following the Kent game, Ravenna departments match up. The winning teams from each will round go against each other in a third and final game.
Tickets cost $3 for students and $5 for adults.
