Miami (Ohio) tops Bowling Green 4-1

DETROIT (AP) -- Reilly Smith had a goal and two assists to lead Miami of Ohio to a 4-1 win over Bowling Green on Saturday in the third-place game at the Central Collegiate Hockey Association championship.

Smith scored his 30th goal of season in the third period for the RedHawks (24-14-2), who got 21 saves from Cody Reichard.

Alex Wideman, Joe Hartman and Chris Wideman scored for Miami. Austin Czarnik had three assists and Steve Spinell assisted on two goals.

Cameron Sinclair scored for Bowling Green (14-25-5), which got 29 saves from Andrew Hammond.
